North Sea Jazz 2024 Leading festival featuring impressive pop, soul, and jazz acts.

During three days, Rotterdam Ahoy was transformed into a festival ground. Across 15 stages, 150 national and international acts performed, such as Sting, Raye, Joss Stone and Black Pumas.

Supporting the performances with projection and LED screens

For the stages, we provided all LED screens, including backdrops and IMAG screens (screens positioned on the left and right of the stage). In addition to LED screens, we also supplied projectors. Furthermore, we ensured seamless coordination of content playout, resulting in an unforgettable concert experience.

Live registration and broadcast

Our involvement extended beyond visual installations. We were also in charge of live recording the performances, we filmed and broadcasted the acts live on the screens. Our services included cameras, skilled operators, and a portable production unit. We also shared the recordings with NTR, a Dutch broadcasting company. We were able to efficiently utilize these recordings for two purposes.

Introducing a new narrowcasting solution

In this edition of NSJ, we premiered a newly designed narrowcasting solution, created by Faber Business Solutions. Utilizing both the existing infrastructure and expanding it with state-of-the-art IT hardware, we placed numerous LCD screens throughout Ahoy to provide visitors with real-time information about the artists currently performing and upcoming in their area. Together with commercial messaging and interactive content, this initiative created an entirely new way to navigate this unique event.

Furthermore, together with MOJO’s event safety team, we developed a new software package that enables the event safety teams to declare areas full or not full. This informs visitors about which performances are accessible at any given moment.
